OCALA, FLORIDA ~ Francis  Lyle Volz, 85, of 3307 NW 46th Ct., passed away, Friday, Jun. 4, 2010 at his home.  He was formerly of Peoria.

Born Jul.3, 1924 in Metamora to Frank and Louise (Harris) Volz, he married Iva Henderson on Jun.15, 1946 in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife; 1 son, Gary (Diana) Volz of Shakopee, Minn.; 2 daughters, Susan (Robert) Hall of Peoria and Nancy (Harry) Hobson of Sarasota, Fla.; 8 grandchildren; and 1 reat-granddaughter

He was preceded in death by 1 sister; 1 brother; and 1 half-brother.

Francis had been a district manager for Phillips Petroleum Company in Evansville, Ind. and Louisville, Ky. for 37 years, retiring in 1984.

He was a50 year member of Hilton Lodge #1143 A.F.&A.M. in East Peoria.

Francis served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Private services and burial were in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria
