MARQUETTE HEIGHTS ~ Peter Lyon, 54 of 307 Grant St., passed away at 3:20 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Peter was born September 23, 1955 in Peoria to Kenneth Charles and Ruth Ellen (Shaver) Sutton.

Surviving are four sisters, Molly Hitchcock of Heber Springs, AR, Lisa (Dale) Warner of West Peoria, Jennifer (Jerry) Tabor of Lexington, SC and Laura (Stan) Adams of Marquette Heights; one brother, Steven Sutton of Marquette Heights; his nieces and nephews, Brandon and Brittiny Adams, Candis and Katee Tabor, Stephanie Lyon, Joshua, Dale, Ryan, and Sondra Hidden.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Sutton and one nephew, John Hidden.

Peter has worked for the last three years as an associate chef for Embassy Suites in East Peoria.  Previously, he worked fourteen years at the Par-a-dice Casino as a prep cook.

He loved people and enjoyed going to work.  Peter also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, family and friends.

No services or visitation are planned.  Cremation has been accorded.  Arrangements are being handled by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
