PEKIN ~ Teddina Jewell Carlyle, 79, of 15501 Furrow Road, passed away at 12:19 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at Pekin Hospital. Born November 12, 1930 in South Pekin to Ted Albert and Caroline (Moses) Parker, she married Paul Primm Carlyle on April 23, 1952 in Pekin. He died July 20, 2007 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gene Kliest. Surviving is her sister, Mary Ellen Parker of South Pekin. Teddina had worked in the office at the American Distilling Company in Pekin for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ and liked to paint. Teddina formerly attended South Pekin Congregational Church. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Tom Cone will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. |
