Helen R. Tribble

PEKIN ~ Helen Rose Tribble, 78, of 1200 South 7th Street, passed away at 12:39 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 at Morton Terrace Care Center.

Born Feb. 17, 1932 in Pekin to James and Rebecca (Leslie) Cornwell, she married Jesse L. Tribble on April 12, 1951 in Pekin.  He died Dec. 31, 1981 in Pekin.  She also was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.

Surviving are three sons, Gary (Dawn) Tribble of Pekin, Rick (Cheryl) Tribble of South Bend, IN and Stephen (Maria) Tribble of Leavenworth, KS; two daughters, Jeanne (Brian) Lang of Pekin and Carol Berger of East Peoria; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Betty) Cornwell of Arlington, TX and William "Roper" Cornwell of Pekin and one sister, Martha Beeney of Pekin.

Helen worked as a cook in the kitchen at Buehler Home in Peoria for many years, retiring in 1999.

She loved her children and loved to babysit her grandkids.  She also enjoyed gardening.
Helen was of the Christian faith.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. Paul D. Myers will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
