PEKIN ~ Carl Dean "CD" Kearney, 44, of 1228 Summer Street, passed away at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Pekin Hospital.  He was formerly of 325 South Street in Pekin.

Born November 23, 1962 in Pekin to Robert James and Jouetta Irene (Kite) Kearney, he married Kimberly Ann Reick on October 31, 1999 in Pekin. 

Surviving are his mother, Jouetta Miller of Pekin; one son, Robert W. "Robbie" Abbott of Pekin; four brothers, Harry J. "Jimmy" Kearney of Park Falls, Wisconsin, David L. Kearney and Robbie E. Kearney, both of Pekin, and Danny J. (Rita) Kearney of Lewistown; two sisters, Crystal J. (Rich) Rife and Melody A. Kearney, both of Pekin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, step-father (John W. Miller), one infant daughter (Amber Kearney), and two infant sons.

Carl worked out of Laborers Local #231 in Pekin for several years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1869 in Pekin.

Carl enjoyed his dogs and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.

His funeral will be at 6 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral.  Pastor Shane Hawkins will officiate.  Private burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
