PEKIN ~ Daniel F. Bajic, 34, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Pekin, passed away at 10:58 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona.
He was born July 17, 1977 in Chicago to Daniel and Margaret F. (Pirelli) Bajic.
Surviving are his father of Pekin; his mother of Pekin; one sister, Tina Bajic of Pekin; maternal grandparents Frank (Geraldine) Pirelli of Chicago; and paternal grandmother, Marie Bajic of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Stanley Bajic, Sr.
Dan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
He last worked for Direct TV in Phoenix, Arizona. He also had worked in advertising for Universal Ad Com in Peoria.
Dan loved spending time with his nephews and listening to music
He also loved to bowl, shoot pool, and play in local and national poker tournaments. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and was a fan of the New York Mets, the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins and Phoenix Suns.
Dan gave the gift of life through organ donation following his death.
His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following services. Private burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
