PEKIN ~ Caiden Michael Pennell, infant son of Christine Pennell and Robert McAvin, passed away at 6:41 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 at Pekin Hospital.

He was born October 14, 2011 in Pekin.

Surviving are his parents of Pekin; maternal grandparents, Robert (Jody) Zurhorst of Pekin; paternal grandparents, George (Denise) McAvin of Pekin; maternal great-grandparents, Pat Tittle of Monticello, Indiana and Diane Zurhorst of Pekin; paternal great-grandparents, George (Carol) McAvin of Pekin, Dale (Marge) Deeter of Easley, South Carolina and Shirley Deeter of Peoria; aunts, Jessica Pennell of Pekin, Rylee Zurhorst of Pekin, Jennifer Zurhorst of Clearbrook, Minnesota, Savannah Pennell of Nashville, Tennessee, Marlana Snider of Pekin, Jacqueline Golden of Glasford, Erin Clague of Delavan, Abby Clague of Pekin; and numerous extended family members.  He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Bill Pennell of Nashville, Tennessee.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.  Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
