MANITO ~ Carol Fern Sutterfield, 71, of 326 E. Meadow Lawn Street, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at her home.
Born November 21, 1940 in West Plains, Missouri to Alva and Elma (Wrinkles) Foster, she married Loy Ralph Sutterfield on July 28, 1956 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David (Kelley) Sutterfield of St. Louis, Missouri and Curtis (Brandy) Sutterfield of Clermont, Florida; three daughters, Rachel (Michael) Hedrick of Wesley Chapel, Florida, LaDella (Bill) Meyers of Casper, Wyoming and Marletta (Lee) Mangham of Knoxville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Carman (Janice) Foster of Greenbriar, Arkansas; and two sisters, Jean Woolf of Lebanon, Indiana and Margaret (Clifford) Sutterfield of Tupelo, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Elaine Barry; and one brother-in-law, Don Woolf.
Carol was a former member of the Abundant Life Full Gospel Church in Manito.
A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church.
Her visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fox Assembly of God Church in Fox, Arkansas. Rev. Stanley Sutterfield will officiate. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to funeral at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Fox Cemetery in Fox, Arkansas.
