Louise Fabry
7/19/1924 - 4/16/2012

PEKIN ~ Louise Fabry, 87, of Pekin, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at her home.

Born July 19, 1924 in Delavan to Oscar C. and Mary G. (Harmon) Anderson, she married Everett James Fabry on November 20, 1943 in Houston, TX.  He died March 22, 1978 in Peoria.  She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Ellen Hyde on April 17, 2007 in Peoria; two brothers, Chester Anderson and Charles Anderson and two sisters, Charlotte Vanderheyden and Helen Potter.

Surviving are one daughter, Peggy S. (Jim) Collins of Pekin; one son, Mark S. Fabry of Pekin; three grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Hyde of Peoria, James L. (Renny) Hyde of Pekin and Jennifer L. (Bradley) Jockisch of Manito; three great-grandchildren, Sean Aaron Hyde, Ayla Ellen Jockisch and Nora Diane Jockisch and her twin sister, Lucille Howat of Pekin.

Louise was a 1942 graduate of Pekin Community High School.  She worked for the City of Pekin Bus Department for 18 years, retiring as superintendant in 1991.  She previously was a longtime secretary at Willow Primary School in Pekin.

She was an avid golfer and a member of the Parkview Ladies Golf League in Pekin.  She also enjoyed playing cards and bowled over the years.

Louise was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin, where she formerly taught Sunday school.  She was a former member of the Pekin Emblem Club #424.  She was always very fond of her dogs.

Her memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.  The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Burial of her cremated remains will follow in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
