CREVE COEUR ~ Wilma J. Mudd, 76 of Creve Coeur passed away at 5:45 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her home.

Born December 12, 1935 in Bushnell to Alvin and Glenna (Sandidge) Laughary, she married Richard Mudd on July 24, 1954 in Peoria.  He preceded her in death in July of 1997 in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one daughter-in-law, Vicki in February of 2012.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Robert) Miller of Mossville, Connie (Tom) Potts of East Peoria; three sons, Rick Mudd, Mike Mudd and Terry Mudd, all of Creve Coeur; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Sandy) Laughary of East Peoria, Larry (Arlene) Laughary of Elmwood; four sisters, Violet Bell of Peoria, Darlene Birdsong of Fayetteville, TN, Wanda (Glen) Bastin of Peoria and Margie (Floyd) Mudd of Hanna City.

Wilma worked for Venture's in Peoria as a cake decorator until her retirement in 1988.  Prior to that, she had worked as a waitress for the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in East Peoria for several years.

She was a charter member of the Patriot Club of Creve Coeur. 

A devoted grandmother, Wilma loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She also was an avid Bingo player.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur where visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Ron Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery near Hanna City.
