BARTONVILLE ~ Matthew Robert “Matt” Flier, 25, of Bartonville, passed away at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at his home.

He was born December 25, 1986 in Pekin to Matthew Allen “Matt” and Robin Rae (Brokaw) Flier.

Surviving are his father and step-mother, Matt and Debbie Flier of Peoria; mother, Robin Flier of Pekin; one brother, Spencer Flier of Peoria; two sisters, Lindsey (Steve Ward) Flier of Pekin and Madison Flier of Peoria; grandparents, Robert and Shirley Flier of Bartonville, Mary Whitehurst of Morton, and Charles Brokaw of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one nephew, Ivan Ward; one niece, Tessa Ward; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his girlfriend, Maranda Turner of Bartonville.

Matt was working for Final Touch Plastering in Bartonville for the past several years.

Matt enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, and listening to music.

His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Visitation will be from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.  Cremation will be accorded.
