PEKIN ~ Michael Lee Donovan, 70, of Pekin, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at his home.
He was born September 3, 1947 in Peoria to Albert and Edith (Blankenship) Webelhuth, he was raised by Edith and Harold Argene Donovan. His parents and one brother, Steven Donovan preceded him in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Shari (Tom) Fultz of Pekin, Kristi (Douglas) Freres of Manito, DeAnna Donovan of Toluca; two sons, Chuck (Brenda) Langloss of Huntsville, Alabama, Robbie (Leslie) Langloss of Oroville, California; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Follansbee of Lakewood, California and Patricia (Joe) Gurican of Norco, California.
Michael had served in Vietnam with the United States Army.
He had worked as an electrician at Caterpillar, Inc. for 34 years, retiring in 2004.
Michael’s greatest passion was his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working with electronics and robotics, doing computer programming, cameras and nature photography and fishing. He was also an avid Chicago Bears football fan and a Chicago Cubs baseball fan.
Per his wishes, cremation will be accorded and there will be no services or visitation. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
