PEKIN ~ Carmen Marie Null, 84, of Pekin, passed away at 2:57 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin.
Born August 12, 1933 in Pocahontas, Iowa to James and Ema (Bittner) Lynch, she married Marlyn Null on August 27, 1955 in Varina, Iowa.  He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Marla (Blake) Brady of Fort Myers, Florida, Ronda Null of Pekin; one son, David Null of Pekin; two grandchildren, Blake (Yen) Brady II of Oldsmar, Florida and Nicole (Zack) Wells of Bonita Springs, Florida; four great-grandchildren, London, Brooklyn, Anna Marie and Zack; and one sister, Betty Sego of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Carmen was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where she had been active in the Altar and Rosary Society and as a Eucharistic Minister to the shut-in members.  She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women.
She had worked in the cafeteria at Saint Joseph Catholic School for over 20 years, retiring in the late 1980's.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Carmen enjoyed getting together with family for gatherings, fishing, going hunting with Marlyn and camping.
Her funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, with Father Michael Andrejek as the celebrant.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m.  Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
