Phillip Roy Nadenbush

PEKIN ~ Phillip Roy Nadenbush, 93, of Pekin, passed away at 2 a.m. Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Pekin Manor. He was formerly of Decatur.
Born May 26, 1924 in Pana to Philip M. and Cora (Hamilton) Nadenbush, he married Dorothy Jean Askew on April 29, 1944 in Cumberland, Maryland. She died August 9, 2015 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Nadenbush in April 2010.
Surviving are one son, Phillip M. (Colleen) Nadenbush of Parma Heights, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hornbuckle of Morton; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Phillip had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Decatur for 28 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a former member of the Pana Lodge 226, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Illinois and Riverside Baptist Church in Decatur.
Phillip enjoyed flying, racing, water skiing and was an avid Ham radio enthusiast.
His graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Linwood Cemetery in Pana. The Rev. Larry Creekmur will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
