Patricia A. Stauthammer

PEKIN ~ Patricia Ann Stauthammer, 86, of Pekin, passed away at 1:41 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Mardell Manor in Pekin. 

Born August 4, 1931 in Peoria County to Benjamin and Leah (Infield) Heitzman, she married William Stauthammer on February 8, 1951 in Pekin.  He died June 9, 2006 in Peoria.  She also was preceded in death by two sons, Willis Edward Stauthammer and Gary Alan Stauthammer.

Surviving are three sons, Randy (Mary) Stauthammer of Mapleton, James Stauthammer of Pekin, and William Andrew (Angie)  Stauthammer, Jr. of Mapleton; eight grandchildren, Gene, Christopher, Jeff, Jacob, Jaasiel, Jaelynn, Lily and Hope Stauthammer; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Carson, Annelise, Brigitta, and Sven Stauthammer; and one brother, Nolan “Pete” (Nancy) Heitzman of Pekin.

Patricia attended Second Reformed Church in Pekin.

A homemaker, Patricia was very active in her church serving as a deaconess and helping in the kitchen with dinners. She worked as an Assistant Postmaster in Mapleton.  Patricia also served as a voting judge for Hollis Township.  She was a farming wife so she did a great deal of food preserving and prep work.

Her graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.  Pastor Joe Bresno will officiate.  Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
