Rosemary J. Miller

PEKIN ~ Rosemary Joyce Miller, 85, of Pekin, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Grand View Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Peoria.
Born February 23, 1933 in Mason City, Illinois to Carl and Burdene (Parr) Null, she married Joe Neal Miller on May 9, 1953 in Corinth, Mississippi. He died July 18, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Null; and two sisters, Janet Reed and Phyllis Rankin.
Surviving are one son, Larry (Lori) Miller of Corinth, Texas; two daughters, Kathy (Michael) Rigdon of Pekin, Illinois and Kimberly (Michael) Gray of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren, Lindsey (Aaron) Stevens of Pekin, Illinois, Larry (Holly) Miller Bopp of Barhamsville, Virginia, Beau (Amelie) Zuercher of Shefford, Quebec, Canada, Christopher (Stephanie) Wilson of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Miles Wilson of Denver, Colorado; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Darrell (Andrea) Null and Larry (Terry) Null, both of Texas; and five sisters, Doris Bailey of Texas, Bonita Beasley of Texas, Diane (Pat) Dowdy of Arizona, Patty (Jim) Bailey of Texas, and Kathy Bostick of Oklahoma.
A homemaker, Rosemary enjoyed walking, listening to music, and was an avid reader. She will be remembered for being very generous, feisty, her sense of humor, and being very comical and animated.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
A service celebrating Rosemary’s life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded.
