Wanda B. Dublin

PEKIN ~ Wanda Bernice Dublin, 87, of Pekin, passed away at 7:46 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home.
Born September 17, 1930 in Camp Point to Fredrick Cole and Helen Mattie (Capp) Swisher, she married Glen Smith on December 25, 1948. He died April 12, 1955. She later married Kenneth Dublin on June 22, 1957 in Paducah, KY. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda (Dan) Boyd of Winter Garden, FL and Gayla (Jeff) Roberts of Tremont; one son, Marc (Mary) Dublin of Pekin; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was looking forward to the upcoming birth of her first great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kelly Dublin on December 30, 2016 in Pekin and two brothers.
She had worked at Pekin Hospital as a Unit Secretary for 29 years, retiring in 1995. She belonged to the Pekin Hospital Retirees Club.
She enjoyed going to garage sales and watching University of Kentucky Basketball. She especially loved the Christmas holiday and being with her family.
Her graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Chad Nightingale will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
