PEKIN ~ Wendy Marie Brownfield, 41, of Topeka, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Mason County District Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born May 26, 1977 in Canton to James and Marcia (Evans) Brownfield.

Surviving are her father, James (Lori Smith) Brownfield of Havana; her mother, Marcia Brownfield of Pekin; three sons, Westley Andrew Trone, Anthony Michael James Trone and Jayden Kyle Brownfield, all of Havana; one sister, Cassidy J. Dallas Brownfield of Havana; and two brothers, James Henry L (Andrea) Brownfield of Petersburg and Hunter Austin Brownfield of Havana.  She also leaves several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Wendy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana.

She had previously worked at Dairy Queen and at Chuckwagon’s as a cook.

Wendy loved peace signs, tie-dye, and was a little hippie lost in the 70’s.  She loved her boys and her family.  Her beautiful smile and giggles lit up the lives of many.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The family will host a celebration of Wendy’s life at a later date.

A Go Fund Me page is being established for her children on Facebook. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with expenses.  The family requests your continued prayers to help her children through this difficult time.
