MARQUETTE HEIGHTS ~ Mikaela Jordan Byers, 23, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away at 7:23 a.m. Sunday, October 6, 2019 at her home.  She was formerly of Marquette Heights.

She was born May 29, 1996 in Peoria to Vincent Riley and Kim Anne (Hilsenhoff) Byers.

Surviving are her mother, Kim Hilsenhoff-Byers of Mesa, Arizona; her father, Vince Byers of Marquette Heights; two half-sisters, Bonita J. (Rodney) Carrington of Creve Coeur and Debra R. Yerley of Peoria; her maternal grandmother, Sharon (Jerry) Long of Mackinaw; maternal grandfather, Gary (Marilyn) Hilsenhoff of Carlock; her paternal grandmother, Alice Byers of Pekin and the love of her life, Steven Coe of Scottsdale, AZ.

She had worked for 24-7 Intouch in Mesa as a call center support team lead.

Mikaela had loved unconditionally and had touched many lives.  She lit up a room when she walked in and was a free spirit who loved life to the fullest and had lived with no regrets.  She will be missed by many, especially her cat Pretty Girl.

Her memorial visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  There will be a celebration of her life 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the North Pekin Amvets Post 169 at 660 Radio City Drive, North Pekin.
