Richard W. Quinley

PEKIN ~ Richard William Quinley, 88, of Pekin, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2019 at Reflections Memory Care in Pekin.
Born February 18, 1931 in Ashland to Hugh and Ethel (Forum) Quinley, he married Donna Jean Anderson on September 17, 1950 in Peoria. She died on December 6, 2017 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are two children, Gary (Christine) Quinley of O’Fallon, Missouri and Pamela J. (Sandy) Meserole of Marquette Heights; four grandchildren, Amanda (Sheldon) Bray, Cory (Brigette) Meserole, Tammie (Mike) Kim and Matthew Quinley; three great-grandchildren; Hayden, Chloe, and Desaree and two great-great-grandsons, Asher and Brantley.
Richard was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Shriners.
Richard owned and operated Atlanta Dry Cleaners in Atlanta and was a life insurance salesman.
He enjoyed caning chairs, and woodworking, but his main priority was caring for his wife, Donna, before her passing.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Westside Christian Church in Springfield. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
