Terri I. Herlich

MANITO ~ Terri Irene Herlich, 67, of Laveen, Arizona, passed away Thursday evening, January 2, 2020 at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.  She was surrounded by Harold, her devoted husband, and close loved ones as she was ushered into heaven.

Born August 28, 1952 in Marquette, Michigan to Jack and Margaret (Hillier) Beauchamp, she married Harold W. Herlich on October 9, 1971 in Marquette, Michigan.  He survives in Laveen, Arizona.

Also surviving are three daughters, Jessica (Paul) Zarling of West Bend, Wisconsin, Carrie (Ben) Blumer of Lakeville, Minnesota and Elizabeth (John) Enter of Laveen, Arizona; two sons, Timothy “TJ” (Lisa) Herlich of Marana, Arizona and Seth (Jenna) Herlich of Lakeville, Minnesota; eighteen grandchildren, Samuel Zarling, Solomon Zarling, Savannah Zarling, Stella Zarling, Simeon Zarling, Selah Zarling, Saxon Zarling, Ezra Blumer, Chloe Blumer, Elias Blumer, Addie Blumer, Amelia Enter, Gideon Enter, Liam Enter, Micah Herlich, Jackson Herlich, Mia Herlich and Ben Herlich; one brother, Timothy (Patricia) Beauchamp of Sedalia, Colorado; one sister, Tina (Mitch) Brown of Fennville, Michigan; two nieces, Katie Beauchamp and Hannah Canfield and two nephews, Jake Canfield and Luke Canfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Margaret Beauchamp and one son, Brian Michael Herlich on April 16, 1996 in Manito.

Terri was a graduate of Northern Michigan University’s Practical Nursing Program and was an LPN.

A homemaker, Terri was devoted to her husband of 48 years, raising her six children and spending countless hours serving her church and making it her life’s mission to share the love of Jesus to everyone she came in contact with. Not only did Terri love serving as a teacher’s assistant at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Pekin, in later years, she also wrote hundreds if not thousands of letters to those hurting, needing encouragement or just because she loved and thought of them.  Terri adored her eighteen grandchildren and prayed for them daily. Even though she will be deeply missed, Terri has received her crown of victory and is in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Her funeral will be at 6 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin.  Pastor Ben Blumer, her son-in-law will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
