A Monument of Heritage and History

We at Preston-Hanley are proud to serve our fellow Pekin area residents in a home, built in 1868, that once belonged to one of Pekin's founding fathers. The Honorable Teis Smith was born in Hanover, Germany and settled in Pekin in 1849. Not only was he a leading business man, he was a benevolent community member as well. At Preston-Hanley, we strive to continue Smith's dedication by serving our community with integrity and graciousness.

The foyer, which features a large fireplace and a print by Thomas Kinkade, leads to the remodeled Pekin home and the large chapel. Designed to complement the charm of the home's existing architecture (the Teis Smith Mansion, built in 1868), this foyer helps to tie the "old" with the "new" to create an atmosphere that is warm and intimate.

The Chapel is a warm and dignified setting which accommodates large gatherings.

The easy style of the Urn and Casket Selection Rooms lets you make decisions in a comfortable, non-rushed and private atmosphere.
The Pekin home is ADA compliant, allowing for easy accessibility with an automated door system, elevator and ample room for movement.
